Love You Lots- Simple Stories

LOVE YOU LOTS! Hey y’all its Courtney here today and I am sharing the layout that I created using the Heart Collection. I love how versatile this collection can be. Today I am using it to document an older picture of my two oldest kiddos. The colors were perfect for both of them and can we talk about all of the hearts and floral pieces that are in this collection. I backed a free cut file that I grabbed from the Paper Issues website and I backed it with 5 different patterns from the 6x8 paper pad. I love using multiple papers and I love that cut files make it really easy for me to do. After I backed everything I auditioned different pattern papers to see which ones I loved as a background. I chose to go with the paper So loved, and cut it down a ½ of an inch on the top and one side. Then I backed it with the floral paper that is the b side of the 2x2 elements. There are a few elements that I always love to include in my layouts enamel dots and tiny word stickers/ word fr

Keep It Sketchy - Paper Issues

Keep it Sketchy!  Hey y’all! Courtney here sharing the layout that  I made for the Sketch challenge this month.  Here's a look at what I created  For this layout I used a mixture of supplies. My  Woodgrain  background is from Echo Park. My layers are a mix of  Bella Blvd  and an older My Minds Eye paper.  The adorable ephemera pieces and thicker’s are from Pebbles Night Night collection. I popped a few pieces of ephemera up on foam as well as my center picture.  I finished my layout off with a few small enamel dots, adorable little fish,  a few stars, and some tiny word stickers. Thanks for stopping by! I cant wait to see what you create!

Sun kissed Summer- Simple Stories

SUNKISSED SUMMER! Hey y’all  Courtney  here and I’m sharing the layout that I created using the super adorable  Sunshine and Blue Skies  collection. Every piece of this collection is absolutely cute from the normal summer icons to the trendy floats and people. The colors and prints are what really drew me into it though.  Here is a look of what I created and I hope it inspires you to scrap some summer layouts! So the main papers I used for this layout came from the  6x8 paper pad  and I also used two sheets from the collection pack for my main layout. The main background page is  Sunkissed  then it’s backed with  On Holiday . I used my silhouette to create my large title and cut it in white then I used the 6x8 pad to back it. You can use any font that you like and just add an offset to it. I used a different patterned paper for each letter. Did I tell you that I am in love with all of these patterns? This was the best way for me to not have to choose which one I wen

52 Friday Favs-Paper Issues

MAY 3 52 Friday Favs Good Morning! Courtney here and today I am sharing my insert for 52 Friday Favorites. I am currently using a Carpe Diem grid insert by Simple Stories. I'm loving the size that I have to work with. Now you can see I am a little behind and I am currently on week 14. For week 14 I am documenting two pictures of my little playing at the park for the first time. I used the Simple Stories line Lil Dude to document all of his cuteness.  I literally only used scraps of paper to layer behindmy photos. I also used the ephemera pack, the 4x6 stickers, and the puffy stickers. The 4x6 stickers made it super easy to pick out a title. Make sure you share how you are keeping up with 52 Friday Favorites over at our Facebook group.

Happy (inter) National Scrapbook Day! - Simple Stories

Happy (inter) National Scrapbook Day! Thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you are following along with the Simple Stories  blog hop  Here  for a chance to win some goodies!  Here's a look at what I created. For this layout, I used the Oh Happy Day collection.  I just love the bright colors and that it was great to document a picture  from our Colorado trip from two years ago.  I used the Oh Happy Day collection kit and the coordinating Simple Basics kit as my base. For my main cluster I cut down three sheets of patterned paper to 4x6 and glued them down kinda wonky. From there I added my 3x4 photo and a 4x4 journaling card that I cut down to 3x4. I'm not a huge fan of my handwriting but I wanted to include a little journaling. All of the adorable embellishments are from the 6x12 chipboard, the combo sticker sheet, and the 4x6 stickers.   I did add a little foam to the word fabulous, the photo of all of us,
