Put it on an Angle

Hey, Y'all Courtney here and today I'm up on the blog sharing my layout for the #putitonanangle challenge. For this layout, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted to back that amazing Starburst die cut from Kaisercraft that Cassie including in the August kit. I thought it would be perfect to back it with some fun papers.

This might honestly be one of my all-time favorite layouts. I've been gravitating towards yellows a lot lately, and I am a huge fan of it with the mint and the black. All of the papers are from Simple Stories, most being from the Lil Dude collection. The only one that isn't Simple Stories is the mint hearts, it's from Crate Paper. I loved mixing white and the cream together, I love the element that it adds. The ephemera came from Simple Stories Lil Dude, Crate Papers Cool Kid, and the rhino is from Doodlebug.
The amazing gorgeous title is from Vicki Boutin, and it was included in the August kit as well. I think the pop of black makes a great statement.

I used an assortment of puffy stickers enamel dots, and a doodled border to complete my layout.
I can't wait to see what challenges you complete this month!

My Happy- Simple Stories

I found it only fitting to highlight my two Design Team announcements from last year. I knew that I wanted a colorful layout, so I picked the Crafty & Happy paper. Instead of just using it as is I decided to use a cut file from Paper Issues called Just a Few Bumps in the Road, and I cut it in black.i wanted all of the colors to really pop against it. I cut my pattern paper down to fill my cut file in rainbow order. I was super excited to see all of the embellishments that I could use to color block on my layout. I layered my photos on some dot paper and a 4x6 card to match the collection. I went through every embellishment and matched them with their color and chose wanted I wanted to keep on my layout. I also used a 4c6 photo photo flip so I could add my design team pictures. I added some enamel dots from multiple coll...
