Sassy Scallops- Paper Issues

Hey Y'all, it's Courtney!
Today I am sharing my latest creation for Paper Issues.
This one is for the Sassy Scallops challenge.

For this layout I am using the AMAZING February Kit.
You guys, this kit is so perfect! I seriously love everything about it!

I decided on the main background paper first, which is the Blush paper from the
Crate Paper La La Love collection.
Then I knew I wanted something bold to use for the scallops.
For this I used the Heidi Swapp Spectrum paper
from the Color Fresh collection.

I used an old Lawn Fawn die to cut the scallops out, it was actually a waves die. Don't worry if you don't have it though, Paper Issues has a ton of free cut files in the shop to recreate this!
I love this one. I cut each color down to a six inch strip and then rotated the
different size of dies that I had. I ended up with two of each color.
At first I was just going to rotate all of them on the page, then I got the idea to layer them.
I popped one of each color up on pop dots and then adhered
  them to the page.

I kinda went with a rainbow placement, but I haphazardly placed them.
I just love how that made them look.

For the embellishments I used the adorable stickers called Wild Love from Photoplay.
My adventure title came from the Heidi Swapp Whimsical stickers,
and I used the puffy butterflies from the half sheet from Pebbles.

I finished it off with a few lime green enamel dots to tie together the lime green scallops, and the lime green grass in my photo. The only thing that came from my stash was the doily.
Everything else came from the February Kit.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you find inspiration in the group!
Make sure you post your layouts for a chance to win a gift card.

You Are Loved- Simple Stories

YOU ARE LOVED! Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I am sharing the layout I created using the So Happy Together collection. This is such a beautiful collection and I wanted to put every single piece in the collection on my layout. I decided to go with a free cut file from Paper Issues so I could use a ton of patterned papers. For backing my cut files I used a variety of pattern papers from the 6x8 paper pad. I love having the smaller prints to use with cut files. I cut my actual cut file on the Happy Heart paper, I am obsessed with anything polka dot and black and white. I cut about an inch ½ inch on each side so I could layer the beautiful Our Story paper behind it. After I filed my cut file, I began laying a ton of ephemera, chipboard and stickers. There is a ton of great images and tiny word phrases. I layered a 4x4 photo that I trimmed down to fit onto the gingham 4x4 card and then I layered it onto the My Family paper. Then I finished my cluster with a w...

You and Me- Simple Stories

YOU & ME! Hey y’all! Courtney here again and today I am sharing a layout that I created using Autumn Splendor collection. This collection reminds me of my child hood. We always had these amazing vintage calendars in our house and every year when they were done my mom would cut them up to use as ephemera or decoupage the cutouts on something artistic. For this layout, I used  a cut file from Paper Issues called You and Me and cut it out in black to make it pop off the page. Then I backed the cut file in Seasons if Change, the B side of the 4x4 elements, Grateful Hearts, Autumn Leaves, and the b side of the 2x2 elements. I used the Elm/Cream Ledger paper from the SN@P Basics as my background. I matted my photos on a piece of vellum and then on the Grateful Hearts paper. I layered them on either side of the cut file. I created three clusters with another cut file from Paper Issues called Collecting Leaves that I cut out of the Turquoise Dots paper. I then layer...
