Love You Lots- Simple Stories

Hey y’all its Courtney here today and I am sharing the layout that I created using the Heart Collection. I love how versatile this collection can be. Today I am using it to document an older picture of my two oldest kiddos. The colors were perfect for both of them and can we talk about all of the hearts and floral pieces that are in this collection.
I backed a free cut file that I grabbed from the Paper Issues website and I backed it with 5 different patterns from the 6x8 paper pad. I love using multiple papers and I love that cut files make it really easy for me to do. After I backed everything I auditioned different pattern papers to see which ones I loved as a background. I chose to go with the paper So loved, and cut it down a ½ of an inch on the top and one side. Then I backed it with the floral paper that is the b side of the 2x2 elements.
There are a few elements that I always love to include in my layouts enamel dots and tiny word stickers/ word from the combo sticker sheets. I tend to not do a lot of journaling so I use the word stickers in its place.
I knew that I wanted to add the word remember from the Combo Cardstock sticker sheet on top of my title. I created a ton of different clusters around the page out of the flora’s and the hearts. I did add foam to the cut file and a few of the elements to create some dimension. Most of the clusters are a combination of the chipboard, bits and pieces and the 4x6 sticker. I love the look that thy give when they are layered next to each other.
I hope my layout inspired you to get creative and use collection for something other than their intended purpose!

You Are Loved- Simple Stories

YOU ARE LOVED! Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I am sharing the layout I created using the So Happy Together collection. This is such a beautiful collection and I wanted to put every single piece in the collection on my layout. I decided to go with a free cut file from Paper Issues so I could use a ton of patterned papers. For backing my cut files I used a variety of pattern papers from the 6x8 paper pad. I love having the smaller prints to use with cut files. I cut my actual cut file on the Happy Heart paper, I am obsessed with anything polka dot and black and white. I cut about an inch ½ inch on each side so I could layer the beautiful Our Story paper behind it. After I filed my cut file, I began laying a ton of ephemera, chipboard and stickers. There is a ton of great images and tiny word phrases. I layered a 4x4 photo that I trimmed down to fit onto the gingham 4x4 card and then I layered it onto the My Family paper. Then I finished my cluster with a w...

You and Me- Simple Stories

YOU & ME! Hey y’all! Courtney here again and today I am sharing a layout that I created using Autumn Splendor collection. This collection reminds me of my child hood. We always had these amazing vintage calendars in our house and every year when they were done my mom would cut them up to use as ephemera or decoupage the cutouts on something artistic. For this layout, I used  a cut file from Paper Issues called You and Me and cut it out in black to make it pop off the page. Then I backed the cut file in Seasons if Change, the B side of the 4x4 elements, Grateful Hearts, Autumn Leaves, and the b side of the 2x2 elements. I used the Elm/Cream Ledger paper from the SN@P Basics as my background. I matted my photos on a piece of vellum and then on the Grateful Hearts paper. I layered them on either side of the cut file. I created three clusters with another cut file from Paper Issues called Collecting Leaves that I cut out of the Turquoise Dots paper. I then layer...
