Little Ras-skulls

Hey y'all, its Courtney here, and today I am sharing my layout for the #LittleRas-skulls challenge.
This challenge is all about how you are celebrating your "Little's" this month.
I am a very literal scrapbooker, so I had to use a picture of my little's, and use ALL of the little embellishments. The August Kit was perfect for this challenge. Cassie included some amazing tiny embellishments in this kit, and I may have gone a little crazy adding them to my layout.

Everything that I used came from this kit, except for the yellow ruffle under my picture, that was a bag that came in a past swag bag. My kit has been laying on my table for a few weeks just begging me to use it, but I was honestly so scared that I wouldn't do it justice. I have shuffled the papers and embellishments more than a few times, and then pushed everything to the side again. I finally grabbedTide my picture and the background paper, and just decided to not think about things. I honestly coulld not be more happier with the way that it turned out! Its simple, but busy all at the same time.
At first I had just planned on filling a few of the circles, and by the end of it I had them all filled.

Here is a list of everything from the kit that I used:
Blue small and large sequins
Buttons with Flair from Fancy Pants
puffy stickers from Fancy Pants
Triangle stencil
One of a Kind Thickers by Vicki Boutin
Tidepool paper by Heidi Swapp Pineapple Crush
Cut apart from Fancy Pants

I decide to hand draw the crosses, and messy circles. I adore the way that added to the layout. The ruffle was just a swagg bag leftover that I folded over a few times. I think the yellow, black, and blue/teal turned out to be a nice color scheme.

Cant wait to see how you play along!

You Are Loved- Simple Stories

YOU ARE LOVED! Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I am sharing the layout I created using the So Happy Together collection. This is such a beautiful collection and I wanted to put every single piece in the collection on my layout. I decided to go with a free cut file from Paper Issues so I could use a ton of patterned papers. For backing my cut files I used a variety of pattern papers from the 6x8 paper pad. I love having the smaller prints to use with cut files. I cut my actual cut file on the Happy Heart paper, I am obsessed with anything polka dot and black and white. I cut about an inch ½ inch on each side so I could layer the beautiful Our Story paper behind it. After I filed my cut file, I began laying a ton of ephemera, chipboard and stickers. There is a ton of great images and tiny word phrases. I layered a 4x4 photo that I trimmed down to fit onto the gingham 4x4 card and then I layered it onto the My Family paper. Then I finished my cluster with a w...

You and Me- Simple Stories

YOU & ME! Hey y’all! Courtney here again and today I am sharing a layout that I created using Autumn Splendor collection. This collection reminds me of my child hood. We always had these amazing vintage calendars in our house and every year when they were done my mom would cut them up to use as ephemera or decoupage the cutouts on something artistic. For this layout, I used  a cut file from Paper Issues called You and Me and cut it out in black to make it pop off the page. Then I backed the cut file in Seasons if Change, the B side of the 4x4 elements, Grateful Hearts, Autumn Leaves, and the b side of the 2x2 elements. I used the Elm/Cream Ledger paper from the SN@P Basics as my background. I matted my photos on a piece of vellum and then on the Grateful Hearts paper. I layered them on either side of the cut file. I created three clusters with another cut file from Paper Issues called Collecting Leaves that I cut out of the Turquoise Dots paper. I then layer...
