Color My World- Paper Issues

Hey Y'all, Courtney here! Today I am sharing the layout I created for
the You Color My World challenge.

For this colorful layout, I used a photo of my mom, daughter, and myself.
I used the Dream Big by Simple Stories collection for this one.

Here's a list of supplies I used:
Chasing Rainbows Paper-Dream Big
Be Younique-Dream Big
Be Meowgical-Dream Big
2x2 elements (background paper)-Dream Big
Bits & Pieces-Dream Big
Cardstock Stickers-Dream Big
White Doily
Gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine
Black Watercolor for Splatters
Doodlebug So Punny Glitter Sprinkles
Dream Big Cutie Free Cut File

I decided to cut out two different patterns in the shape of triangles and place those on a white sheet of 10x10 cardstock. The triangles were a 6x6 square that I cut in half. I backed the Dream Big cut file that was cut in black with the patterned paper, Chase Rainbows. When I glued the cut file down, I popped the word Big up on pop dots to give it some extra dimension.

I backed my photo with a few random scraps I had from the collection and stuck a white doily behind that. I didn't pop the photo because I wanted the ephemera cluster to be popped up. I had the cloud cluster, unicorn cluster and house cluster on the layout to begin with. Then I found those adorable word strips from the sticker set and decided to make coordinating clusters.

I added some doodles around the white space, some glittered sprinkles, and some gold Heidi Shine to polish it off. Between those touches and the extra clusters I felt like it was perfect.  I wanted this layout super girly and full of all the cute things. I definitely feel like I achieved that!

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create!

You Are Loved- Simple Stories

YOU ARE LOVED! Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I am sharing the layout I created using the So Happy Together collection. This is such a beautiful collection and I wanted to put every single piece in the collection on my layout. I decided to go with a free cut file from Paper Issues so I could use a ton of patterned papers. For backing my cut files I used a variety of pattern papers from the 6x8 paper pad. I love having the smaller prints to use with cut files. I cut my actual cut file on the Happy Heart paper, I am obsessed with anything polka dot and black and white. I cut about an inch ½ inch on each side so I could layer the beautiful Our Story paper behind it. After I filed my cut file, I began laying a ton of ephemera, chipboard and stickers. There is a ton of great images and tiny word phrases. I layered a 4x4 photo that I trimmed down to fit onto the gingham 4x4 card and then I layered it onto the My Family paper. Then I finished my cluster with a w...

You and Me- Simple Stories

YOU & ME! Hey y’all! Courtney here again and today I am sharing a layout that I created using Autumn Splendor collection. This collection reminds me of my child hood. We always had these amazing vintage calendars in our house and every year when they were done my mom would cut them up to use as ephemera or decoupage the cutouts on something artistic. For this layout, I used  a cut file from Paper Issues called You and Me and cut it out in black to make it pop off the page. Then I backed the cut file in Seasons if Change, the B side of the 4x4 elements, Grateful Hearts, Autumn Leaves, and the b side of the 2x2 elements. I used the Elm/Cream Ledger paper from the SN@P Basics as my background. I matted my photos on a piece of vellum and then on the Grateful Hearts paper. I layered them on either side of the cut file. I created three clusters with another cut file from Paper Issues called Collecting Leaves that I cut out of the Turquoise Dots paper. I then layer...
