Rainbow Love -Paper Issues

Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I am sharing what I created for the Craft the Rainbow Challenge over in the Paper Issues Facebook group.

Here's a look at my entire layout:

For this layout, I used the Happiness collection by Cocoa Vanilla. Isn't this collection stunning? The colors scream Spring to me and I cut into as soon as I received it. That almost NEVER happens. I always want to hoard my favorite things and this is definitely a new favorite!

Anywho, onto the layout. I had two pictures printed out of me in 3x4 and figured I’d use them. I feel like my black shirt really pops against these colors.

I decided to use this line for the Craft the Rainbow challenge for obvious reasons. I mean come on, those colorful butterflies were screaming to be fussy cut, and that's exactly what I did!

I was going to leave the butterflies spread out all of a sheet of white cardstock. Then I saw the rainbow page and I decided to color block everything.

Here you can see how I folded up some of the butterflies to add some dimension and then I added the enamel dots in the coordinating
colors. A few of the butterflies came from the ephemera pack, accessory stickers, and the clear sticker sheet. I also cut the butterflies from the 12x12 paper and the 6x8 paper pad. I left a few with a white border to match the ones from the ephemera pack. I basically used any butterfly that I could. There’s no such thing as to many, right?

For my photos I matted them each on two different frames from the 12x 12 sheet Frame of Mind. The photo on the left is popped up with foam and the right is just glued straight to the page. I’ve also added a tab, some pink glitter washi, a butterfly, and word stickers.

I added a little cluster with a flower from the sticker sheet, a butterfly, and a heart enamel. I popped it up on foam along with the heart and the plus sign. The now is straight on the paper. I added flair and gold Heidi Swapp Color Shine to finish it off.

Don’t forget to #buyallthethings and use the code Courtney to save 20%.

You Are Loved- Simple Stories

YOU ARE LOVED! Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I am sharing the layout I created using the So Happy Together collection. This is such a beautiful collection and I wanted to put every single piece in the collection on my layout. I decided to go with a free cut file from Paper Issues so I could use a ton of patterned papers. For backing my cut files I used a variety of pattern papers from the 6x8 paper pad. I love having the smaller prints to use with cut files. I cut my actual cut file on the Happy Heart paper, I am obsessed with anything polka dot and black and white. I cut about an inch ½ inch on each side so I could layer the beautiful Our Story paper behind it. After I filed my cut file, I began laying a ton of ephemera, chipboard and stickers. There is a ton of great images and tiny word phrases. I layered a 4x4 photo that I trimmed down to fit onto the gingham 4x4 card and then I layered it onto the My Family paper. Then I finished my cluster with a w...

You and Me- Simple Stories

YOU & ME! Hey y’all! Courtney here again and today I am sharing a layout that I created using Autumn Splendor collection. This collection reminds me of my child hood. We always had these amazing vintage calendars in our house and every year when they were done my mom would cut them up to use as ephemera or decoupage the cutouts on something artistic. For this layout, I used  a cut file from Paper Issues called You and Me and cut it out in black to make it pop off the page. Then I backed the cut file in Seasons if Change, the B side of the 4x4 elements, Grateful Hearts, Autumn Leaves, and the b side of the 2x2 elements. I used the Elm/Cream Ledger paper from the SN@P Basics as my background. I matted my photos on a piece of vellum and then on the Grateful Hearts paper. I layered them on either side of the cut file. I created three clusters with another cut file from Paper Issues called Collecting Leaves that I cut out of the Turquoise Dots paper. I then layer...
