Scraplift Sunday- Paper Issues

Scraplift Sunday  Hey y’all it’s Courtney here and today is my last post as a design team member. I’m forever grateful for the time I have gotten to share my work with all of you, but never fear! I’ll still be around sharing what I create!  For today’s layout I am doing Scraplift Sunday, and we are lifting the amazing Kelly.  Here’s a look at my finished layout  Here’s Kelly’s original that we are lifting.  I used the Sunny Days collection by Crate Paper with a picture of my kiddos from our recent beach trip.  I really love how this layout came together, The colors are so perfect!  My title is a combination of the 6x12 sticker sheet and the Thickers and I think the title says it all. I went with the half circle shape like Kelly, but I made mine a little wider because of the title. Each cluster is a combination of a phrase, an icon, a piece of glitter washi, and a heart.  The paper cluster behind m...

You Can Have Tis or That- Paper Issues

You Can Have This or You Can Have That Hey Y'all! Courtney here sharing the layout that I created for the  This or That  challenge. This challenge screamed for me to make a July 4th layout when I saw to use red, white, and blue. I have been holding onto the Fourth of July collection from  Pebble's  that came out last year, and I knew that's what I wanted to use.   Here's a look at the this or that list to use on this challenge.  For this layout I used one 12x12 paper and the border sheet. I cut each border piece into a 6 inch long strip and just randomly placed them. I love doing layouts like this when I want to finish off scraps or I want a ton of patterns that aren't to much in your face. I chose to go with two 3x4 photos that I layered on two different mats, I used some of the pocket cards that I knew I wouldn't use on another layout. This collection is full of silver, so I went with using it. I added s...

Anchors Away- Simple Stories

ANCHORS AWEIGH! Hey y’all! Courtney here on the blog today sharing a layout that I created using the really cute  Crusin’ line. Now I haven’t been on a cruise lately, but we did just come back from a long beach trip. I have a ton of pictures that will go so perfectly with this collection. I chose these two precious pictures of my youngest on his daddy’s shoulders. I chose to do two 3x4 pictures that I matted on the Ports of Call individually and then double matted them on the Ahoy and the Seas the day paper The background paper is Lost at Sea and it’s cut down ¼ of an inch and matted on the 4x4 elements sheet. I also used a free cut file from paper Issues called Sailing into summer that I backed on Man overboard and the lined card from the 4x6 element sheet. I used the 6x12 chipboard sheet, the combo sticker sheet, the 4x6 sticker sheet, and the bits and pieces to create my clusters around my photo.  The title came from the bits and pieces pack and I...

Get Me To The Alter- Paper Issues

Get Me To The Alter  Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I’m sharing a layout that I created for the Get me to the Alter challenge.  For this layout I used a few different Crate Paper collections. The two background paper’s came from Carousel and I am obsessed with both.  I went pretty simple with this layout and really focused on the photos.  I can’t wait to see what you create!

Fourth of July- Simple Stories

FOURTH OF JULY Hey y’all! It’s Courtney Sawyer here today, and I am sharing the layout that I created using the Let Freedom Ring Collection. This collection is just adorable and I knew that I wanted to use it to document one of my little’s first Independence Days. Here’s a look at the layout that I created. For this layout I used the entire  Let Freedom Ring Collection  pack with the  Basics Paper Pack  and a scrap of gold glitter paper that I had in my stash. I decided to go with a cut file, I tend to use them a lot when I have several patterned papers that I want to showcase. This is the free cut file  Count Your Lucky Stars  from Paper Issues. I started with the Walnut Cream paper from the basics set with the cut file. The color on this wood grain is very close to the All American sheet in the Let Freedom Ring collection, so I thought it would be perfect to use.  After I cut it out I used the pattern papers to fill the empty stars...

Love You Lots- Simple Stories

LOVE YOU LOTS! Hey y’all its Courtney here today and I am sharing the layout that I created using the Heart Collection. I love how versatile this collection can be. Today I am using it to document an older picture of my two oldest kiddos. The colors were perfect for both of them and can we talk about all of the hearts and floral pieces that are in this collection. I backed a free cut file that I grabbed from the Paper Issues website and I backed it with 5 different patterns from the 6x8 paper pad. I love using multiple papers and I love that cut files make it really easy for me to do. After I backed everything I auditioned different pattern papers to see which ones I loved as a background. I chose to go with the paper So loved, and cut it down a ½ of an inch on the top and one side. Then I backed it with the floral paper that is the b side of the 2x2 elements. There are a few elements that I always love to include in my layouts enamel dots and tiny word stickers/ word fr...

Keep It Sketchy - Paper Issues

Keep it Sketchy!  Hey y’all! Courtney here sharing the layout that  I made for the Sketch challenge this month.  Here's a look at what I created  For this layout I used a mixture of supplies. My  Woodgrain  background is from Echo Park. My layers are a mix of  Bella Blvd  and an older My Minds Eye paper.  The adorable ephemera pieces and thicker’s are from Pebbles Night Night collection. I popped a few pieces of ephemera up on foam as well as my center picture.  I finished my layout off with a few small enamel dots, adorable little fish,  a few stars, and some tiny word stickers. Thanks for stopping by! I cant wait to see what you create!
