Swanky Swatches

Hey all, Courtney here, today I am sharing my layout for the #swankyswatches challenge.  Y'all, this layout was so fun to create! Sometimes I overthink everything and try to hard to make things perfect. I keep reminding myself that its not about perfection, and its about the memories. For this layout I knew that I wanted to use the August Kit , and my watercolors to get the colors that I loved from the swatches.  I took inspiration from the brush and brush strokes also. Here is a look at what I created I used the white sheet of cardstock from American Crafts that Cassie had included in the August Kit as the base of my layout. I used a wider bristle paint brush to give it a more brushed look, and I mixed my own colors to come up with this combo. I think they turned out pretty close to the swatches. Little Ras-skulls

Hey y'all, its Courtney here, and today I am sharing my layout for the #LittleRas-skulls challenge. This challenge is all about how you are celebrating your "Little's" this month. I am a very literal scrapbooker, so I had to use a picture of my little's, and use ALL of the little embellishments. The August Kit was perfect for this challenge. Cassie included some amazing tiny embellishments in this kit, and I may have gone a little crazy adding them to my layout.  Everything that I used came from this kit, except for the yellow ruffle under my picture, that was a bag that came in a past swag bag. My kit has been laying on my table for a few weeks just begging me to use it, but I was honestly so scared that I wouldn't do it justice. I have shuffled the papers and embellishments more than a few times, and then pushed everything to the side again.
