Dream, Imagine, Believe- Simple Stories

DREAM IMAGINE BELIEVE! Hello everyone! It's  Courtney  here today and I am sharing my very first blog post as a Simple Stories design team member. I feel like I need to be pinched! I was all too excited to get started, so let me tell you about what I created. The Simple Stories Say Cheese lines are always a favorite of mine and the newest collection  Say Cheese 4  didn't disappoint. I love the colors that are included with this line and love to incorporate them into my everyday scrapping. This layout is of my two youngest (I have 5 adorable kiddos), and I titled it with a card from the 4x4 element sheet that says Dream Imagine and Believe. I thought that title was fitting for my littles. My main background sheet is Make a Wish and I trimmed it to 11x11 and then matted it with the fireworks paper called Fun This Way. I really wanted to showcase a ton of the patterned papers so I cut 1-2 inch strips of paper from the 6x8 pad. I popped two of the strips up on two

Free File Friday - Paper Issues

Free File Friday Hey there,  Courtney  here and today I'm sharing what I created for Free File Free for all.  For this layout, I used the file  Sunny Day  . I have used this cut file before and it looks completely different. This time I went with one background pattern. After I backed it I popped it up on some foam tape to give it a little dimension. Everything on this layout is  Crate Paper , but I used I few different collections. I mostly used Sunny Days by Maggie Holmes and Hooray by Crate Paper.  My background paper is called Woohoo and its from the Hooray collection. I used a simple black piece of cardstock to cut out the sunburst. It's backed with the Explore paper from the Sunny Days collection.  I also used the cut apart sheet from both collections to get all of my tags. The gorgeous hot pink flowers are from the Oasis line that came out a while back. All of the adorable stickers came from the Sunny Days collection.  Thanks for stop

Rainbow Love -Paper Issues

Rainbow Love Hey y’all! Courtney here and today I am sharing what I created for the Craft the Rainbow Challenge over in the Paper Issues Facebook group.  Here's a look at my entire layout:  For this layout, I used the Happiness collection by  Cocoa Vanilla . Isn't this collection stunning? The colors scream Spring to me and I cut into as soon as I received it. That almost NEVER happens. I always want to hoard my favorite things and this is definitely a new favorite!  Anywho, onto the layout. I had two pictures printed out of me in 3x4 and figured I’d use them. I feel like my black shirt really pops against these colors. I decided to use this line for the Craft the Rainbow challenge for obvious reasons. I mean come on, those colorful butterflies were screaming to be fussy cut, and that's exactly what I did!  I was going to leave the butterflies spread out all of a sheet of white cardstock. Then I saw the rainbow page and I decided to col
